How to clean a shaft?

There are many ways to clean and protect a shaft, and each has their own ways I suppose. I would like to hear other forum members explain their process to cleaning and maintaining their shafts. I myself use a hightower lathe and higher grit sandpaper. I also sometimes use a magic eraser which works well. I then burnish my shaft once sealing it.

Others probably have better methods and would love to hear more ways to do so.

Use a towel and small amount of alcohol to clean the dirt from the shaft of the cue.For more details its better to read the tutorials online.
